Either last Friday or Saturday, most likely. The tickets for the NYC shows went on sale last Saturday at noon.

What is this cd I see reviewed in Remix magazine?

Belle & Sebastian-LateNightTales

I believe it's a collection of songs they like by other artists. Either that or they cover the songs-can't tell from the four star review.

It's the former. I believe there is one B&S-performed song on the album.

I didn't see it on Amazon but they had a few others bands with these. Flaming Lips version also has one song by them-a cover of White Stripes.

There's a UK influence cd series and I have the one by Paul Heaton of the Beautiful South. I believe Morrissey and Paul Weller also have them.

I am getting sick of "hip" bands releasing their mix cds to the public. Waste of 17 dollars in my opinion and a boring mix, too.

I don't know what you are really saying and it seems really confusing. Are you talking about pirating?

To get legitimate copies of records, you should pay a 300 dollar subscription to CMJ monthy and register to chart for them. Start a fake radio station and recieve thousands of promo cds. I heard someone do that before. Bad thing about Matador records is that you aren't going to get full artwork with it but just a description on the back of the case.

Looks like today's the big day! Anyone buy it yet? How much and where?

I ordered a copy of the CD/DVD version for less than $11 shipped from DDCD.
This looks like a pretty sweet deal for anyone who doesn't mind waiting a few days.

Check it out at: http://www.deepdiscountcd.com/index....c=744861069522.

It's $9.99 at Best Buy. Is that the one-disc version? If so, I'll go w/DDCD for an extra .30.

I really like the packaging, and the live dvd is pretty cool, I'd recommend the limited edition.

I picked up the CD+DVD version for $12.99 at Tower (of all places) today. This is their "New Music Tuesday" sale price, so it probably will go up by tomorrow...but it looks like you can still get it for that price on their site.

Did you see them when they were in Columbus a couple of years ago?

I think the only show I've seen in Columbus was Material Issue cuz we were friends of theirs and on the guest list.

I agree, this album has a lot of energy. Very sun-shiney. I love it.

Also watch the DVD which is a BBC 'Music Show' special that I assumed premiered sometime last Fall/early winter in the UK.

Sure doesn't. Glad I ordered it from them yesterday. It was kind of strange that the CD+DVD version was $10.98 while the 1 disc was (and is) $12.97.

I know you already ordered it from DDCD, but in case you are still curious it was the 1 disc for 9.99 at BB. Limited was around 17.00.

This album is fantastic. It's been a long while since I've heard a new song as great as "The Blues Are Still Blue". Hopefully, it's their next single.
