I hope this one makes up for his last two, I'm Wide Awake and Digital Ashes. I'm usually not that thrilled with live albums but I'll be checking this one out for sure.

No interest in this album at all. Huge fan of Bright Eyes, although I thought their last two albums kinda sucked.

I lost a lot of respect for him, when I heard When the President Talks to God.
The lamest song ever. If you are going to write a protest song, make relevent. Don't recycle that same old crap.

I like Bright Eyes a whole lot and seeing him do Digital Ash live gave me a whole new appreciation for the album (elevated it up to right behind Lifted) But I don't know how cool a live album that basically combines Wide Awake and Digital Ash could be.

Much of Digital Ash works because of the produced effects, it worked live because of the dueling drums, but that was more a sense of being surrounded by the sound of a drum (which was extremely awesome) I don't know if that feeling could be captured in CD form. It seems like the Digital Ash tracks would come out feeling like muted forms of the studio release.

And as I look at the list, I just noticed there's no Easy/Lucky/Free, which is one of my fave Bright Eyes songs. Seeing him do it live was amazing. At the start of the concert I was having a so-so time (had just bought Digital Ash the day before, didn't know many of the songs), then Easy/Lucky/Free hit and WOW. The concert instantly went down as one of my most memorable of 2005 (which is saying a lot, since I got into the Bomb Shelter at the U2 concert)
