Thoughts On The New Bloodhound Gang Album, Heavty Fine...

This was a topic of discussion at the bar tonight. Not really a solid effort. Not a bad album, but, not worth the five year wait...12 "tracks" total, 2 skits, for a total of 10 songs!! WTF? Don't get me wrong, some of the songs are pretty funny, I especially enjoyed the "Ralph Wiggum" track. The oddest thing I found, is that there's not a single sample on the entire album. Not a big fan of ripping off other people's music, but, when they did it, they did it right (if that makes sense).

Just wondering what you guys thought....

I haven't heard the CD in full, but Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo is an awesome song.

The first record, I really dig. The second record, pretty decent. The third record, all sex jokes and loses it's appeal. I'll have to be sold on this new one if I'm plunking down my $10.

i'm surprised they're still around. the novelty lost it's charm over 5 years ago.

love the album art. Looked so funny to see dozens of these at bestbuy. Can't wait to see them next sunday. Getting wasted with a few friends and walking down there. Should be interesting!

I'm digging this newest album from BHG. Something tells me they were looking for something to totally embarrass fans as they plunk the album down for purchase. Even worse, a second LARGER picture is on the inside on the opposite side of the lyrics, so as you read them, someone thinks you're looking at a copy of Stud Puppy, super hefty issue.

I can't remember where I read about this (amazon?) but allegedly they've already got 7 songs down, so hopefully their next album will come out a bit sooner. Oh yeah...one reviewer at amazon said that this album's cover is an invitation for everyone to just burn the album online.
