Nickelback - All The Right Reasons
Ok, first off, I know a lot of musictalkers hate these guys, so if you've come here to threadcrap, please just move along. Thanks.
The new Nickelback album ALL THE RIGHT REASONS comes out next week and I've had a chance to hear it, and for fans of the band, this album is going to satisfy big time. It's got classic Nickelback stadium style rock riffs, while not being a total rehash of previous albums. It doesn't overstay it's welcome with 11 tracks that clock in around 40 minutes, with hardly a dud in the bunch.
Oddly, Photograph, the first single, is one of the weakest songs on the record. Chad knows how to write radio friendly songs in his sleep and this album has at least 6 other songs that could be singles. If you're a fan, definitely pick it up on Tuesday. I know I will be.

Man, I listened to this thing today and was really dissapointed. Nothing stuck with me, didn't like any of the songs.. and I'm a Nickelback fan. Even though it's a short album I couldn't wait to get it over with, it felt like forever. Too bad, maybe they should've given it another 6-12 months.

I've never really paid any attention to Nickelback before, but my best friend has recently been trying to get me to listen to "Animals". I downloaded the album the other day and have listened through it a couple times. Not bad, but glad I didn't buy it. "Animals" is funny though. Nice quick hard rocking sex song. Those are hard to do well.

Thankfully, Nickelback is going back on tour to go through some cities they didn't cover last time. Raleigh is one of 'em. Just bought my tix today. Hoobastank and Chevelle are the supporting bands.

eh, decided to pick this up since it was only 10 bucks at best buy, and I surprisingly enjoyed it. Yeah, i'm not a fan of the slow songs (well, they play them all constantly on the radio), but the rock/heavier songs aren't too bad. Somewhat surprised to hear some sweet guitar solos and even a tad bit of double bass drums too. Consitering my taste in music, and what is played on the radio, i expected to hate it, since i thought it would be 90% power ballads, and a couple of clunky rock song, but its not really. Fave song of the non radio singles is 'Follow You Home'.
