Devendra Banhart: She's Great!
 

Just wondering if any of you New Yorkers noticed the Virgin Megastore ad in this week's Village Voice (page 88) promoting Devendra Banhart's Union Square appearance.

The person who wrote the copy for the ad obviously had no idea who the hell Devendra Banhart is, as the copy constantly refers to him as a her!

There's also another Virgin Megastore ad on page 100 with similar copy.

It's nice to see that Virgin Mega makes it a point to familiarize themselves with their in-store acts. :sarcasm:

I just thought this was entertaining enough to share with all. I don't have a scan, but I'll try to track something down for you guys!

Well, what the hell kind of name is Devendra? I don't really fault Virgin.

Devendra is a great artist and one of the best performances i ever saw was when he opened for Angels Of Light.

thats funny but at least now i know she got a new cd. i mean he.
