Anyone else get the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club cd?

I bought the cd on tuesday, but I was wondering if anyone else got it.

I tried to download on to my computer, through itunes, and tried to transfer it to my mp3 player, but it automatically installs this program and when I try to skip the program it records the songs all wavvy and fucks them up. Does anyone know how to make it record normally?

It really pisses me off that I actually go out and buy it and I can only listen to in my car/cdplayer. And that I also have to install all this crap onto my computer. It seems like a great way to fuck over the fans who actually do pay for the music.

I picked it up the other day...different sound for these guys, but I still dig it.

With some proper button pushing, you should be able to rip the album to your computer without a problem. See this thread for more info:

New Foo Fighters CD COPY PROTECTED!!!

A post that will be helpful for you would be this one, since the software is already installed on your machine:

Start with a Windows 2000/XP system with empty CD drives.

Click the Start button and select Control Panel from the Start Menu.

Double-click on the System control panel icon.

Select the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button.

Configure Device Manager by clicking "Show hidden devices" and "Devices by connection," both from the View menu.

If MediaMax has never been started before on the same computer, the SbcpHid driver should appear on the list for the first time. However, on some systems Windows needs to be rebooted before the driver becomes visible.

Next, follow these additional steps to disable MediaMax:

Select the SbcpHid driver from the Device Manager list and click "Properties" from the Action Menu.

Click the Driver tab and click the Stop button to disable the driver.

Set the Startup Type to "Disabled" using the dropdown list.

Restart computer
