80s Icon Tiffany stages a comeback - New CD "Dust Off and Dance"

"I think we're Alone now" star Tiffany is all grown up! Tiffany returns to the music business with her hot dance album in the tradition of La Toya Jackson and Sweet Sensation. "Dust Off and Dance" is Tiffany's first all-dance record, and features a rocking remix of her 1987 smash "I Think We're alone Now".

Tiffany is slated to tour with 80s rival Debbie Gibson later this year.

Does anyone know if this has charted?

Tiffany's 2005 album release was done independently of the traditional record companies, and made its debut on CD Baby, the Internet retailer of independent CDs. As its title implies, it features dance music. Most of the songs are co-written by Tiffany. There is also a remake of her '80s hit, "I Think We're Alone Now".

so she's doing a remake of a remake of a remake? hrmm

No offense, but what is it with all the threads recently regarding all this teeny-bopper dance stuff? What are you, 13?

For the record, I am 29. I think that this teeny bopper stuff is sometimes good fun in a mindless sort of way. When I was growin up, all we had was New Kids, Paula Abdul, Taylor Dayne, and Debbie Gibson. Maybe Tiffany too. But its really cool to hear some old school teen pop - man I just trip over that stuff.

Does anyone remember the Cover Girls, Milli Vanilli, Dino ("I like It"), Glenn Medeiros, and Linear??

If you think that's "all we had", then you missed out on some really good music. Artists who actually played their own instruments...imagine that!

Personally, I remember thinking they sucked...but that's just me.

As far as Tiffany goes, all I can say is it was nice to watch her videos with the sound turned down.

Personally I'd take Tiffany or Debbie Gibson's music anyday over Ashlee Simpson, Christina Aguilera, etc.

I was a bit surprised to see this song trending on Youtube but it looks like she covered her own song. I was even more surprised I actually kind of liked it. Was not a fan back in the day. But since her Playboy spread I became more interested in her. LOL

I haven't seen her in Playboy, but I watched that video a few weeks ago and thought she was smokin'! I do like this new version of the song more than the one she did in the 80's.

Pretty sad when you're doing a cover song of yourself, which was a cover song to begin with...

She looked pretty good in Playboy. Then again, she's a cute redhead with big boobs, so it'd be hard to not look good.

Cute redhead with big boobs...who needlessly ruined her face with plastic surgery. This saddens me so much.

You can always relive the era on their Mix Tape Tour this summer! Although it appears, at first glance, it's really a New Kids On The Block tour with various others tagging along.

I actually dig it. I like that she kept the spirit of her original, but made it a bit more rock to fit her grown-up voice.
