Jugulator!

I'd say start with Metal Works '73 - '93, determine which songs you like best and then buy the complete albums (CDs) with those songs on them.

Jugulator is a decent album on the heavier side in the Pantera vein. "Burn In Hell" is one of my fav priest songs of alltime.

agree completely with Metal Works. it gives you pretty much all the big hits, and a nice selection of b-sides that will give you a good idea of the bands range. due to contractual issues they couldnt put anything from the first two priest albums (rocka rolla and sad wings of destiny) on MW though.

Yeah, I have and like both Tim Owens CDs plus the double-live one. I Just wanted to see the reaction I'd get.

Plus, if it wasn't for Tim Owens, I probably would have never found Iced Earth!

Same here,
I knew of Iced Earth but never really followed them. I bought Glorious Burdon because of Ripper. After I saw them live I picked up the entire back catalog. Tim makes the old songs sound even better live.

I don't really know a lot about Priest, but Painkiller is seriously heavy.
