Thanks for the heads up - I just got tickets for the Wiltern in LA. I'm looking very forward to it. I hope Steve Craddock is playing guitar with him for this tour.

I think the Chicago IL gig is the "Midwest date(s)".

ETA: checking his website, he heads back to Europe after the Boston gig, and his calendar is full into December, so if he were to add more NA dates (which I very seriously doubt) it wouldn't be until next year.

More edit: there's a couple of weeks after the Boston gig, so there's a slim possibility he could add more dates.

Woohoo!

I just found out that he's going to have a full band (including a horn section), and Steve Craddock (my favorite guitaris) and Steve White (the greatest living drummer) are both playing with him.

tickets for sf go on sale sunday.

he has a new single out on Itunes, with 2 tracks.

I went to the LA show last night, and it was great.

Weller had his usual incredible band - from one of my favorite guitarists (Steve Craddoc of Ocean Colour Scene) to one of the best drummers in the business (Steve White) who isn't too showy, but is a Peart/Bonham callibur drummer.

Weller sounded just great, and the band was so good that they recovered remarkably from a few technical glitches.

He played a few new songs, some of them good, some meh...

He played quite a few Jam songs too and ended the show with Town Called Malice, which brought the house down - seriously, I've been to the Wiltern about 5 times before, and I've never before felt it shake like during that song.
