The (heavily filtered) guitar riff in this song is... extremely familiar. I've heard it in a Metallica song, and I am sure it's in something else.
What is it? Or is it just extremely similar to riffs we know already?

There's a mash-up of Beverly Hills mashed with "I Love Rock & Roll" -- it blends perfectly and shows how similar the songs are.
Check it out:

I'll try posting the direct link, but sometimes that doesn't work. You can try to right-click this link:

If that doesn't work, click the link above and look for the song. It's pretty easy to find.

The opening of the song before the riffs begin sound like the one from a Smashing Pumpkins song. Not sure of the title, but I keep thinking the Pumpkins(not a fan btw) is about to play, but it's Weezer instead.

Ok, folks, since I got everybody's hopes up with that link above, I uploaded my copy to Rapidshare. Here's the link:
http://rapidshare.de/files/2887799/0...shup_.mp3.html
Since this is a mashup and not a copyrighted song, this shouldn't be against the rules. If it is, I'll delete the post.
I don't know how many times the song can be downloaded from Rapidshare, so hopefully when this runs out somebody else can upload it again.
Enjoy.

thanks...not as good as some of the others i have heard....this looks like the work of a good editor as opposed to a band ripping off another band or recording a song that sounds like one of their other songs
