More news: according to her publicist, it's ALL dance. No ballads. No "messages." Just dance.
And here are some more rumors that are making me salivate all over my keyboard this morning.
The demo master has 16 tracks, only 13 of them will make it to the album
Again the final album tracks (13) is not ready yet. Madonna and Warner
are still in meetings...It's from the guy who works at Warner.
There is going to be a casting call for dancers and actors for the
shooting of Hung up, the agents breakdown is going out next monday.
MTV will be full of Madonna in the fall. Makng the video will premier on
MTV with Madonnas new video... as I heard
Madonna has asked her gal-pal Ingrid Casares to be in charge of a
national promotional tour . Ingrid is part owner of a Miami based dance
Club promoting company, and Madonna wants her to put together a
promotional tour. The theme of this tour would to have Official Album
release parties in selected clubs nationally, in which Madonna would
attend some of them.
Very possible that Madonna is coming to Miami for MTV VMA to promote new
single...and perform it live... I think it's just a rummor , because
Ingrid Casares is doing MTV Video Music Awards party... but I like it
Madonna WILL NOT, AGAIN, WILL NOT sample an ABBA song . "Ring Ring" has
nothing to do with Madonna's new single or album... Creepy
The first single Hung Up (to hit rado stations very soon, planned for
her Bday) is going to be A BIG BIG -Techno/disco stomper, a very old
Madonna feeling track, but revolutionary/new at the same time.
The album is going to be Warner's biggest release of the year...

Madonna's "all dance" new album, "Confessions on a Dancefloor," will be released Nov. 15 via Warner Bros. According to her official Web site, first single "Hung Up" will hit U.S. radio outlets on Oct. 17. That track was produced by Stuart Price, who previously served as the musical director on Madonna's 2004 Re-Invention tour.

Just heard both of them and damn, i didn't expect that Gimme Gimme Gimme sample to be so "front and center." Will wait until I hear the whole song to see what happens with it. I never judge these little internet clips as good or bad until i hear the full thing.

Needs to contact a mod about multiple accounts
I don't really like Madonna but for some reason I'm now loving this. I don't see it being very successful in the US though, it's too techno-ish.

Supposedly the video for Hung Up will premiere simultaneously on MTV, VH1 and Logo. She and David Lachappelle just parted ways regarding the direction of the video.

Absolutely can't wait to hear the rest of the CD after hearing a snippet on the Motorola site. I've been a Madonna fan since day one and don't plan on stopping. I admit that AL did not get much time in my CD player, but ROL was fantastic. I'm listening to Like a Prayer this week in my car!

Note that the clip on the Motorola site is a different tempo (i believe) than the final clip. You can hear another clip as a downloadable ring tone on the MTV and VH1 sites.
And it samples Gimme Gimme Gimme...and only plays during the beginning and also during the chorus(es).

The cover is cool but seriously, I can only imagine her voice extremely filtered on the album through a vocoder. A dance album? Will this be Madonnas' version of Chers' "Believe".
And yes, despite what anyone might say, the entire look and feel of this new album is very very camp. From the neon lights and fuchsia pink of the cover, to the sampling of Abba (what is she DOING?), I am really not sure everyone will love this.
I miss the 'Ray of Light' Era - now that was REAL music, and IMHO her best record. Almost everyone who has heard likes it, even though they may not be a Madonna fan. As for going back to her 80s roots, well she has never really done a disco sort of album, though You Can Dance was a dance remix album. Most of her albums have had a dancey feel to them on some tracks but she has not had a through and through dance album per se. This should be the first.

This is actually the first time an Abba song has been sampled. Cool trivia.
I agree that ROL was the peak IMHO. However, I will say that everyone I've played this song for has LOVED it...and those are small clips. I didn't have this reaction to music...or any of american life. I can see this being HUGE. I can only imagine what the rest of the album sounds like. I really rely on Stuart Price who worked on the last couple of tours. Re-invention was sheer bliss.

Yes, but I really dont see it doing well in the Singles market. Note that its stuff like Mariah Carey (how many TIMES do we hear 'Shake it Off' on the radio?) and Kanye thats on the radio these days. She wouldn't fit in at all with this new comeback.

I hope it's American Life 2
I am a big fan of Mirwais ! I don't like the music album don't know why, but I LOVE the minimalistic 80's disco sound of American Life.
Love Profusion, I'm so Stupid are just genius records.
If you listen to Love Profusion through headphones (with all the background mixes and voices) you know what I am talking about. This was a #1 hit single in Spain....
But if it's Ray of Light 2 I will be pleased as well, but Like I said:
Mirwais = God
