The Toronto date (Nov. 11/Air Canada Centre) was announced yesterday. I had been worried that they may not come here on this tour, considering they played two shows here in May, during their smaller venue tour. I missed out on both of those shows because tickets sold out in about two minutes. I definitely plan to make this show.

of course they were going to announce a Toronto date (and Vancouver, and Montreal...). The rest of us "our vote REALLY doesn't matter" Canadians still haven't had a NIN concert since 1994. And I'm in Calgary. 4th largest city in the country. Sure, the space between #3 and #4 is massive... but still...
I'm going to go cry myself to sleep.

I might have to get the single for Only if David finchers video is good. I love David Fincher.

I agree though, dualdisc is a nice idea but impossible to implement where you have 100% compatibility (the number is way below that apparently).

update: the Only video is available on www.theninhotline.net as a streaming file. It's one of those "looks simple, but is extremely complex" all-CGI videos. Very well done. I think the only way it would have been MORE impressive is if it wasn't CGI. I can't wait to see it in higher resolution when I get my Only CD-Singles.

I like the video, very clean-looking. I'm not sure if I feel it has lived up to the self-imposed hype of being a David Fincher video, but I do enjoy it.
Especially the part when he tries to break out of the pin-thing.

I definately like the pin thing, but I thought maybe that it would go around to different objects in the room and not just stick with that...but still very cool.

The Foo Fighters Dual-Disc won't even go into my car cd player, gets stuck 1/3 of the way in ... too damn thick :P

nope, but www.theninhotline.net just reported that they're doing shows in Edmonton and Calgary on November 16th and 17th, respectively. I'm slightly skeptical, since the news came from the Calgary Sun... which is a rag of a "newspaper". This would be the first show in either city since... well, at least since The Downward Spiral was released. Not sure if they ever toured here before that, but I doubt it.

That's why I was amazed I got floor tickets for DC. I didn't even join the NIN fan club! I refuse to join those things. They should all be free like Coldplay's and still give members first dibs on tickets.

my copies (CD-single and 10") of Only arrived today. I can't say that I like the DFA remix of The Hand that Feeds, but the live Love is Not Enough is pretty good.
any other opinions?

It's nice to know that Salt Lake stole back my Colorado Springs show. I guess it's a good thing I've got Denver tickets as well.

TVT Assets [Were] Up For Sale
MTVe
Apparently, TVT had to auction off ownership rights to several albums, including Pretty Hate Machine, on August 17th. I've seen the news on this in several places, but I've yet to here about what happened. I would think Trent would want to get these back.
Anyone hear who won the auction??

Damn cool video although I was a little dissapointed that the 'large' file link was inactive.
I have been listening to Only and Sunspots constantly for some reason, one day I just popped the disc in and for a week straight now those are the only two songs I have been listening to while driving......weird.
FWIW I also think Sunspots is a very underrated song, a lot of people say it's the worst on the album.

I thought I read something a while back in Rolling Stone saying something to the affect, that Reznor got all of his lyrics from message boards on his site, does anyone know it that's true?
