Coldplay Tour Dates. and presale lottery

US TOUR PRESALE LOTTERY

We will be offering a ‘presale lottery’ for all the new 'TWISTED LOGIC' US tour dates to members of Coldplay.com.

As with our UK & European presales this lottery will make sure as many real fans (not scalpers) get tickets as easily as possible.

OUR NEW PRESALE METHOD EXPLAINED:

The presale lottery will open today (Tuesday May 17th) and close on Thursday May 19th at 1pm (GMT)

We need you to tell us:
- which shows you want to buy tickets for (a maximum of 3 shows)
- how many tickets you want for that show (the maximum is 4)

Tickets will then be allocated to as many members as the presale allows. Members will then be notified by e-mail detailing how they can then purchase tickets for their requested show.

Notification emails will be sent from Friday (May 20th) and the actual presale page will open for all members who get tickets from Tuesday (May 24th)

Please see the presale page at Coldplay.com for a full description of the presale lottery and the terms & conditions.

I actually like Pavillion shows best, given I get good seats. Sound is the best there IMO.

Anyway, I entered the lottery for the 9/30 show.

The Irvine venue is an awesome one to see a band like Coldplay at. Not too big, not too small. I hope to be able to snag a couple tickets. For a band that was able to sell out a couple nights at the Hollywood Bowl last time I'm not sure why they would play a smaller venue this time and only play one night but as long as I get some tickets I suppose it doesn't really matter.

same here, I saw them in Baltimore at the outdoor Harbour amphitheatre, they were great. "club" shows tend to drain me, being outdoors is alot more relaxing. My fingers are crossed for the 9/30 show also.

Giles: Their pre-Rush of Blood show at the 930 Club was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. We also got good first-row seats upstairs at the bar, overlooking the stage.

I was there too, I thought the Pier 7 show in Baltimore was better (IMO), the split video screen was visually stunning.

Good thing about these presale lotteries, from what I've heard, is if your selected you're going to get decent seats.

I just passed on Green Day as I tried as soon as the interenet presale started and there were only Lawn seats available! Tried again at the public date hoping they'd held some better seats, but still only lawn.

wtf! where the fuck do all the seats go then? I know radio stations get tons of seats, but that sucks.

josh, you can try ebay for the green day tix, many even have pit tix as well.

Yeah, I have no idea what the deal was. I've never seen an internet presale for a pavillion show be Lawn only as soon as it went up.

I know Merriweather is a small pavillion, but what the hell? I'll probably just pass, my friends are still going as they wanted to go bad enough to pay for lawn seats.

I'd love to have gone, but I'm too poor to shell out $$$ for crappy seats, and the Lawn seats at Merriweather are horrible. I wish it was at Nissan, pain to get in and out of due to traffic, but it's much bigger and the lawn seats are pretty good there, better view of the stage and better video screens.

Forgot to mention, if you get it you'll see access code listed in the e-mail as:

Access Code: ?MGLUGLJG or whatever letters (those are just random). The "?" is NOT part of the code. Took me several tries getting an invalid code message to figure that out, when registering for an account so I can just log in in the morning.

They are charging over $70 in a lot of places for tickets. I hope they realize they aren't U2, no way should tickets be any more than $45.

Yeah, it said in the e-mail tickets range from $60-70.

Pretty steep, but I'll pay it as I've never caught them live before.

Been a fan for a few years but never seen them live either. I got a code for the presale so if I can get one of the front sections for the Tampa show I'll most likely get them regardless of price.

Holy crap, $60-70!? Last time they came around I got my ticket for $40. If that's how much they're charging this time around I guess I wont be seeing them live again

Crap! I didn't get selected for the lottery! I requested both the Montreal show and Boston show. Do you think that actually hurt my chances? I would have been happy with either or. I'll probably get tickets anyway, but I wanted to feel "special".

Got my tics today in one of the lower section (not the pit unfortunately).

Came to $80 each after the shipping and fees.

that's about right in price, for my two tickets they came out to $159.70 and the seats are in Row N Section 204, still kind of crappy IMO.

I got approved to buy seats for the Irvine show. I got pretty good ones too but when it came to paying $78 a ticket after charges I just couldn't pull the trigger. I saw them last time tehy came around at the Hollywood Bowl and paid a lot less. I can't believe this show will top that one and certainly not for twice the money.

I've never seen them before (I was out of the country the last time they came through town), and I don't know if I want to pay out of my ass to see them play at freakin' Riverport (aka UMB Bank Pavillion). That does suck.

Make Ticket Prices Fair, Chrissy!!!!

ya know, for the price they are asking I hope it's kind of like the lineup for the Killers/Keane show that includes Louis XIV, Maximo Park and some other singer I am forgetting at the moment.

give us fans some primo opening acts.
