You may want to download 2001 Spliff Oddessy by Thievery Corporation. It's Reggae with a twist.

There is also shaggy.

iTunes has several free Reggae radio stations. I'd suggest listening to some of those. I know at least one has 128kbps streams.

I have to bump this thread because, to my complete and utter surprise, one of my favorite reggae artists in the past couple of years is from... Germany?
I'm not a walking Rolodex of reggae artists, so I can't really compare these guys anybody else, at least not intelligently. But a couple of years ago I got an album by a guy called Patrice and it was probably one of my favorite albums of 2002. (There's a lot of other German reggae artists, including Gentleman and Seeed! but I was not as impressed by them). |
i've been listening to Damian Marley's Welcome to Jamrock a lot recently and i will suggest that it is the best damn reggae/dancehall album in a long time.
i even reviewed it on my blog. -ringding- p.s. anybody who bothers to read the review, i'd really appreciate your constructive criticism of the review. |
