for those who care....news on the 50 cent vs Game shooting....
I don't know if you guys know/or care, but basically 50 has been all over the radio today talking all sorts of sh*t about Game (read: his ego is out of control, and he conveniently he has an album coming out this week)....anyway, what might have started as a publicity stunt lead to a shooting........
50 Drops Game From G-Unit; Shots Fired At Radio Station

One man was wounded in a shooting at New York's Hot 97 Monday night (February 28) just as 50 Cent was making an appearance at the radio station to announce that the Game had been booted from the G-Unit.
Police said a man in his 20s from Los Angeles was shot in the left leg during an altercation at the station and was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital. The injury was not serious, and the victim is expected to fully recover.
An NYPD spokesperson offered no additional details about the incident, and initial reports differ as to whether the young man was affiliated with 50 and his entourage. New York's FOX affiliate reports that the rapper and his crew were escorted from the building via alternate exits following the shooting and escaped harm.
The incident occurred while 50 was appearing on Funkmaster Flex's show, where he told the DJ that the Game had been excommunicated from G-Unit because he feels the Compton rapper isn't loyal.
50 told Flex he was disappointed with comments Game made on the station Saturday night, when the West Coast MC revealed he would not be getting involved in the beefs 50 is stirring up with "Piggy Bank" (see "50 Cent's LP Pushed Up, Harsh 'Facts' Sound Like Disses On Leaked 'Piggy Bank'").
According to Flex, Game even said he was going to do a song with Nas. "He's gone," 50 scoffed. "He might as well make the record."
50 also said Game should stop saying "G-Unit." "He thinks he's doing me a favor when he says that."
During his conversation with Flex, 50 claimed Interscope was going to drop the Game until 50 stepped in and got involved with The Documentary. 50 also insisted that he's making more money off The Documentary than Game is, and that he wrote more choruses than he's credited for.
Believe it or not, Game was on Hot 97 earlier in the evening, talking to host Angie Martinez. When listeners called in to ask about his and 50's problems, Game simply said he was going to continue to make "good music." Two nights prior, Game had said on-air that he and 50 did not have to be friends as long as they worked toward that same common goal: making good music.
For weeks there'd been rumors of friction within the G-Unit camp, but they'd always downplayed or outright dismissed the talk, and they even held it together long enough to shoot a joint video for "Hate It or Love It," which debuted Monday on "TRL."
A rep for Interscope had no comment on the implosion.
In February 2001, Lil' Kim was at Hot 97 when a shooting occurred outside, and she was later indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice for allegedly lying to police and failing to cooperate with their investigation (see "Lil' Kim Indicted For Lying About Hot 97 Shootout With Capone"). That case is currently in the jury-selection phase.

I personally am glad that The Game is finally out of G Unit. His mixtape stuff is awesome but his album was really disappointing to me. Over two years worth of hype to find out that most of the stuff on his cd he didnt even write. Rap has been pretty slow and somewhat boring for the past year with everybody doing "we are the world" kind of songs. Its finally good to have some good ole amusing rap beef. This is going to be a pretty interesting months to come and see what sides people choice. I think G Unit will still come out on top regardless how many people they go after.

whats hard to understand? A music group kicks a member out of the group. The ex-members entourage tries to go to the radio station were his former group is discussing the situtaion. An argument between the two groups occurs and one person ends up getting shot. Easy as that.

Funny how the majority of people that "try" to bash on rap always post replys in rap threads and always say that they dont care about it. If you guys dont care then why do you waste your the time sitting here and reading this stuff. Why dont you just go and listen to your "so called talented" musicians. there are a lot of loyal rap fans like me that follow stuff like this and find news like this usefull.

Maybe from now on, anyone who starts a rap thread should instantly reply to their own message with a standard block of text talking about how rap sucks, the artists have no-talent, it's not real music, P-Diddy is the Devil, and all rappers are thugs. That will save us from the usual 8-10 posts that always follow in these threads.

This is the first thread I've ever made in this forum, I thought the news what kinda a big deal, didn't know that it woulda have such a backlash....
(In P.Diddy's voice) take that, take that, take that.....

not backlash against you, I appreciate the posting, as I had caught the tail end of the story on MTV and hadn't quite seen the whole thing. It's just after you posted, just likely every other rap thread that gets posted, we get the same ol' thread crapping. I just find it interesting is all, that people go out of there way to post responses about a topic they claim not care about. It would be like me posting in a White Stripes thread. Or U2. Or whoever it is you young whippersnappers are listening to these days . There's no hate in my game, people can post wherever, whatever, whenever.
Bad Boy. uh-huh. can't stop. won't stop.
