One and Only VANS Warped Tour 2005 Thread
Ticket pre-sales start April 1st. The dates for the shows are up on the site. Here is the list of bands performing. I do hope more are added. This list doesn't look as strong as last years:
Academy Is All American Rejects Amber Pacific Atreyu Avenged Sevenfold Bedouin Sound Clash Billy Talent Bleeding Through Dropkick Murphy's Emery Fall Out Boy From First to Last Funeral For a Friend Go Betty Go Gratitude Gym Class Heroes Halifax Hawthorne Heights Hidden In Plain View Hopesfall HorrorPops Hot Rod Circuit Kinison Mae Mest Midtown Millencolin Motion City Soundtrack My Chemical Romance No Use For A Name Offspring Plain White Tees Reggie & The Full Effect Relient K Senses Fail Silverstein Strike Anywhere Strung Out The Bled The Explosion The Fight The Matches The Starting Line The Transplants Thrice Tsunami Bomb The Unseen Underoath Zao Out of those, I want to see Underoath (great on last year's), Billy Talent (great on last year's), The Starting Line, Hawthorne Heights, The Offspring, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and Avenged Sevenfold. |
No Atmosphere?! :(
|
no flogging molly? :(
|
Yeah, this year's lineup doesn't look all that hot. Love Thrice. Avenged Sevefold & Strung Out would be cool. But that's about it for me.
|
Damn, I'm getting old. I only recognized about six bands.
Not many veteran bands there. |
Hmmmm.....Don't see my friends The Bouncing Souls...
Hope they join up again this year. |
Mmmm . . . Dropkick Murphy's. I'm all over it for that band alone.
|
Reggie and the Full Effect and My Chemical Romance are awesome................yeah, this years tour does NOT seem strong at all
|
Wow, it's a shittier line-up than last year's (despite the pressence of Atmosphere and Flogging Molly). I would've gone too if there were more than only three bands I wanted to see (which consist of: All American Rejects, Fallout Boy, and The Offspring).
Oh well, maybe 2006. |
Senses Fail, Midtown, and Zao have now been added to the list. A couple of lesser known bands I'm looking forward to this year are Hawthorne Heights, who appears ready for the mainstream and Hidden in Plain View. IMO, Underoath is the band to lookout for in 2005. These guys are great and very energetic live.

I just bought my ticket for the Charlotte show. Too bad I won't get to see Hawthorne Heights or Underoath as both have magically been removed from the Charlotte lineup. Is anyone else going to the Charlotte event? Here are the bands I want to see, now that the lineup is confirmed, although that could easily change. Last year, the lineup differed quite a bit from what was posted online.
Fall Out Boy, The Offspring, Thrice, The Starting Line, Senses Fail, MXPX, Something Corporate, Avenged Sevenfold, Matchbook Romance, Over It, Gratitude, Hopesfall, and Armor for Sleep. |

I am already see'ing Senses Fail on their own tour and Something Corporate today - so I see no real point for me to go. Wouldn't mind see'ing My Chemical Romance, but I would of prefered to see them when they was opening for Green Day.

The Warped Tour started on June 18. Has anyone on here caught the show yet? If so, who were the standouts? If you see the show, post your reactions here. I wanna see who's live performances will be worth checking out and who's won't.

. From the original posting, there's maybe 6 bands I'm familiar enough to say "Hey, I'd like to see them", and if 4 of them didn't show, I'd be irate. |
Damn... I must be getting old. The only band I want to see on there would be the Dropkick Murphy's!
The only Warped Tour I went to had Green Day, The Donnas, TSOL, the Dickies, Agent 51, the Lunachicks, Flogging Molly, Weezer, Nofx, and more. What a line up! Am I just out of touch or does this year's line up suck? I know most bands on the Warped Tour don't get paid too much. Maybe they're catching on and the good bands aren't putting up with it anymore. |
Billy Idol, kick ass!
I've got my tickets for the July 17th show. It'd be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees that day. |
2 things that suck about Warped: the temp. and $5.00 water.
