1976 - Heart, Orleans, Burton Cumings at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade in Boston. I was 13 at the time, took the train in from the suburbs (parents drove me and picked me up at the station). Burton Cummings' big solo hit was "Stand Tall", Orleans had "Still The One", and Heart played an encore of "Stairway To Heaven"....

1982 I think....Quarterflash / J. Giels Band. I wanted to go see The Police who performed the night before, but couldn't convince my buddy who insisted that this show would be better.

The Cure - Wish Tour '92. To be truthful, it was the Fat Boys when I was but a wee lad...but we'll omit that from memory.

Any chance it was the Motels and not Quarterflash? I know I went to see several shows of that tour and though it was the Motels. I could be wrong, it was a long time ago.

Could have been....like you said, it was a long time ago, and the first of many, many concerts! The only thing I'm certain of was that the J. Giels Band was the headliner.

Howard Jones, 1988. And yes, I am a little ashamed of it.

Why didn't you just catch them on their joint tour?

KISS At Madison Square Garden 1978. Opening for them was a band called Piper, fronted by Billy Squire, who went on to achieve some success on his own.

I saw Ozzy with Queensryche opening in 1986? at the St. Pete Bayfront center. I remember Queensryche had a stage the size of my living room, and barely moved. The cute girl in our group hung out in the parking lot in her bra while we all drank warm beer as pot was passed around. For a sheltered 16 yr old, I was in heaven.

1982 The Who with The Clash as their opening band in Seattle.

Edit: Damn . . . I was feeling so cool because I still like these bands, and I just remembered that my stepmom took me to see The Bee Gees in the late '70's in Portland.
