Who is this "artist" (crappy 70's video version)
Take a look at this train wreck
I'm thinking this might be that guy who did the disco version of the Star Wars theme. Meco, or Mego, or something like that. |
I don't know, but that was fantastic!
|
that was some wacky shit!
|
The song is called "Apache." I have no idea who the artist is.
|
Well, the name of the group is on the bass drum head, but it's hard to make out. Judging by the lameness of the entire presentation, I would say it was "The Scheisse Band." That keyboard player looks like Doug Henning and Weird Al's retarded love-child.

lol Thanks for the clip. That made my night!
Don't know who it is. Even though there's a bongo player in the background, that definetly aint "The Incredible Bongo Band" (Who also have their version of the song released in the during that era) |

Except Meco really didn't look anything like that:

I think that guy played the cowbell for Blue Oyster Cult.

Two words and the first starts with S. Go from there!
|
It's The Splash Band (not to be confused with the reggae band of the same name). They also did a disco cover of John Carpenter's theme from Assault on Precinct 13. I think they had releases on the disco division of the German ZYX label.
|
I forgot to ask...which one of the Hanson brothers is playing the drums in that video?
(Five points for whoever gets the reference.) |
The Slap Shot reference?
Luther Heggs! Don Knotts represent! Thanks for the answer. |
Take your five points, brother...may they serve you well.
|
Next I hope to get five points from Luther for recognizing his name. :p
|
The original version was by The Shadows.
