For myself, it's Biffy Clyro - Infinity Land. Absolutely amazing stuff. Second right now would have to be Interpol - Antics. I fully expect Eminem - Encore to be at the top after it releases.

Scorpions - Unbreakable, with Velvet Revolver's Contraband a close second, also will mention Brides Of Destruction - Here Come The Brides and Alter Bridge - One Day Remains.

Green Day - American Idiot
Blood Brothers - Crimes
Say Anything - ...Is A Real Boy
Rise Against - Siren Song of the Counter Culture
The Littlest Man Band - Better Book Ends
Looks like that's my top 5 for the year, as there's nothing else coming that looks like it'll knock any of those out of their spots.

Well, it's been a helluva year for me, musicwise. Not only did Brian Wilson finally release the new recordings of SMiLE, but my favourite recording artist, Lewis Taylor just put out his third (!) album for the year. Stoned Part II and the Limited Edition album both marked a real return to form for him, but Lost blows away everything I've heard in the last year, maybe the last 4 years. He mixes influences as diverse as Yes, Beach Boys, Todd Rundgren, CSNY, Led Zeppelin, but puts his own touches (wall of sound vocals) on it, and makes it seamless. ******/*****

Do live albums count? If so, it's probably the Wildhearts new live one, "The Wildhearts Strike Back".
Green Day "American Idiot" is up there. Definitely the best studio album of the year for me.

Velvet Revolver - Contraband
Thought it was good when I first bought it then kept listening and listening and now I love it.
