I've probably only bought 5 cds this year, but my fave so far would be "Indigo Girls - All That We Let In" (SACD).

Did you ever buy the Junior Boys' Last Exit? It's a close second for me.

yeah I did actually, in all fairness, I need to relisten to it. My first impression of the album was that it didn't really grab me - give me a week and some time to rethink this album.

1. Joanna Newsom - The Milk-Eyed Mender
2. Allison Moorer - The Duel
3. Bjork - Medulla
4. They Might Be Giants - The Spine

Madeleine Peyroux - Careless Love, Patti Smith - Trampin', Kasey Chambers - Wayward Angel or Auf der Maur - Auf der Maur could all take 5th depending on my mood.

I absolutely agree. In fact I saw them in concert last night and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

I also really like the new Bjork.

Ok, so far it's Cake's Pressure Chief.

I haven't given this much thought yet. Just posted as soon as I read this thread. So, there may be others. But, at the moment, it's Cake's latest album. Perfect, with the exception of 2 tracks.

I have way too many Cd's as is, so I've only bought like 3 new releases in 04.

Another vote for Green Day.
