Help, for those of you who don’t know, was a truly groundbreaking album. Upon its release in 1995, not only did it raise £1.25 million to help children caught up in the shocking war in the former Yugoslavia, but – unusually for a charity record – it was very good.
It was put together in under a month and recorded and released in less than a week making it the fastest album ever recorded. Oh, and it featured everyone who was anyone at the time.
