Best LIVE Bjork performance on DVD?
I want to get a bjork live performance on dvd, but am not quite sure which one to get. What do you think is her best one? From what I've read, people seem to like Royal Opera House a lot. Vespertine is a great album too

the Royal Opera House is excellent although the other live dvds are very good as well. They all have a different style in the way the music is presented as well as the look of the performance in both camera work and set design. I would go with the Royal Opera House since it takes advantage of 5.1 surround and is really really good.
After that, you have to get Live at Cambridge and then maybe Vessel or MTV Unplugged/Live. |
I personally really like the Cambridge performance the best but you probably can't go wrong with any of them.

They're all reasonably priced and easy to find. IMHO, you should add them all. As said above they each have a unique style and personally, I think seeing Bjork at different times in her career is very interesting.
Bjork's people were awesome when they put out all those dvds in the last couple years. They were all low priced, had great content, and they came with nice clear plastic cases. |
I like the Shepherd's Bush DVD.

Originally posted by Jamezuva So are you saying only RoH has 5.1 while all the other dvds are 2.0??? :( |
I would also say Royal Opera House. Aside from its technical superiority, the songs themselves really blossom - compared to the studio recordings - in the performance.
