Mix CD by Committee #1: Soul, R&B, Doo Wop, Motown

Another activity similar to the "xx Songs" threads of last week. This time, the music forum has one 80 min CD-R. Each participant gets to include one song that works in the chosen theme (this time, soul-r&b-doo wop-motown). Post the length of the song so that we know how much time is left on the disc. Make sure you choose carefully because you only get one pick. So.

What's a soul mixed CD without the Queen of Soul? This one isn't overplayed, and plus, first three tracks are men--I figured we needed to hear from some ladies. Ladies!!

Oops. That's embarrassing. And I actually know that, because I own a Motown box set that has that very song on it. Sorry about that. I really did know better--just a brain fart. So embarrassing...

Interesting that we start with a little blue-eyed soul (just so you know that I do know who she is).

Heh, it's cool. So we're 50/50, and that's a good thing in my opinion.

Roughly 66.5 mins left! Maybe this one won't fill up until next week. Being a Friday and all.
