From where yr sitting...
...what albums can you see.
Directly in front of me is a tape of Yo La Tengo's I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One and Electr-o-pura. To my left is a bootleg of a 1981 Talking Heads concert in Tokyo. I can see US Maple's Talker, Broadcast's Haha Sound, Pere Ubu's Dub Housing, and Circulatory System's self-titled album on top of and in front of my stereo. The Human League's Dare LP is beside my turntable and Gift of Gab's 4th Dimensional Rocketships Going Up is poking out of the promo bin directly behind me. |
Pet Sounds
Dylan Live 1966 Wall - Live U2-All that you can't leave behind. Just because it is in front of me does not mean I have been listening to them lately :) |
I'm at work.
Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister Belle and Sebastian - Dear Catastrophe Waitress The Polyphonic Spree - Together We're Heavy (their upcoming studio album) Phish - 4/16/2004 Las Vegas, Nevada |

Vans Warped Tour 2004 (It's the most recent one I ripped. And stop looking at me, it was only $5. Seriously, stop it.)

Interesting question...on the desk next to me is the new Acid Mothers Temple tour CD Hypnotic Liquid Machine From The Golden Utopia still unopened from the concert last week. Directly in front of me is a stack of CDs to be auctioned on eBay. Rather not tip my hand about those titles, so let's swivel about 15° and look at the bookshelf to the right of this screen, whereupon rest some boxed sets. From left to right, there's:
The Worlds of Charley Patton (which I got for free from Revenant) the Kan Mikami & Kazuki Tomokawa 30 Years box sets The Ennio Morricone Chronicles Elvis - His Life and Music (not actually mine; belongs to the wife) God and Hair YA HO WHA 13 Collection The Residents' Kettles of Fish On the Outskirts of Town Cecil Taylor In Berlin '88 (picked it up used for nearly nothing) Charles Mingus The Complete Debut Recordings on top of those sits the Elvis Double Features film can box set, also not mine. |
Just one, Ryan Adams "Love is Hell"

Dixie Chicks - Home New Pornographers - Electric Version Rushmore OST They Might Be Giants - Flood Strokes - Is This It Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band - Live in NYC Plus some in the desk drawer, which is closed, so I can't see 'em. |

Originally posted by SAShepherd This list would also be my "Today's CDs" entry if I ever started one of those threads again... I admit, my recent thread proliferation is largely due to boredom from the lack of "Today's CDs." ------ Right now I can see the 69 Love Songs boxset poking out from underneath Unwound's Leaves Turn Inside You. Jim O'Rourke's Insignificance is also in front of the stereo. |
