Damn! The tour is hitting Clarkston the same night I get to go see Bela Fleck and the Flecktones in Rochester Hills. The two concerts are like 4 miles away! Grrr

Here's hoping for more dates. :p

It's "Curiosa".

I heard some rumors that they may come back through on their own. I doubt it, but it could happen.

cdollaz 06-02-04 10:01 AM

I'm worried that the number of bands on the bill will cut into the length of the Cure set.

Me, too. I've heard that they will be playing a shorter setlist this time around for that exact reason. I was getting spoiled by their last couple of tours. They'd play for 3+ hours. I think I'll wait and see if they tour on their own later in the year.

Hollowgen 06-02-04 12:54 PM

i love all of those bands, but man alive, could they have assembled a more pretentious lineup?!

fallow 06-02-04 04:13 PM

I was going to be at the Merriweather show until I found out that it'll cost me $75. And there ain't nothing pretentious about a god damned cowbell and dancing, which happen to be 2 aspects of The Rapture (the former of course is not a huge part, but you get the idea).

Actually, Cureosawa sounds much better. Maybe they could have a 3rd stage screening "Ran"...

whynotsmile 06-02-04 11:32 PM

how the hell do you pronounce it anyway?

im also a bit confused about why the cure will be playing a shorter set. i know that usually in festivals bands play shorter sets, but considering its a CURE festival why couldn't they play whatever they wanted? if the festival began between 12-3 and the cure got on around 8 or 9, couldn't they play as long as a usual concert?

FYI, a bunch of cities went on sale today, internet presale..
In for 2 at Randall's Island in NY....should be nice. $50 plus ticketbastard fee's...but not as overpriced as say Krock's price rape at Dysfunctional Picnic at $84 or so, which doesn't have nearly as cool as a lineup, plus sitting down at Jones Beach all day sucks.

RevLiver 06-09-04 01:11 PM

I've also got 2 for Randall's Island. Anyone planning on going to this show should do the preorder, you can link to it through the K-Rock website http://www.krockradio.com. Via the pre-order, the tickets are $50 + fees, according to TicketBastard, the regular tickets going onsale Saturday will be $60 + fees.
