Blender's top 10 worst songs in the history of music!

According to Blender (and reported by the radio station I was listening to this morning), here are the 10 worst songs ever recorded. I thought you guys would want to get a look for yourself. Agree? Disagree?

10) Ebony and Ivory - Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder
09) American Life - Madonna
08) Party All the time - Eddie Murphy
07) Dont Worry, Be Happy - Bobby Mc Farren
06) The Heart of Rock and Roll - Huey Lewis
05) Ice Ice Baby - Vanillla Ice
04) Rolled - Limp Bizkit (At least I think this was #4 - the DJ kind of blew past this one)
03) Everybody Have Fun Tonight - Wang Chung
02) Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus
01) We Built This City - Starship

Yikes, that's a pretty solid line-up of pain. . . .

I love these worst songs lists.

Every one of those songs were played all the time when they first came out. Radio stations and MTV put them in heavy rotation.

They should call the list the Top Ten Songs We Are Embarassed About Promoting So Heavily.

Everyone Have Fun Tonight - Wang Chung
First, it's "Everybody Have Fun Tonight", second I can see their point with every song but this one. It's a great, danceable pop song, which is still quite popular (on compilations, soundtracks, etc.)

Definitely agree with #1. Everytime this comes on I cry, "Worst of the '80s!"

Other contenders:

"What's Up?" by Four Non-Blondes- worst vocals ever?
"Der Kommisar" by After the Fire (worse than the Falco version)
"Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" by Lobo- *pukes*
"Green Eyed Lady" by Sugarloaf (I ****ing HATE this song, maybe others like it. IMO, it's truly the depths of late-seventies corp. rock awfulness)
"Mr Roboto" by Styx: even its retro kitch has now worn off and exposed it for the awful song it is
"You're Having My Baby" by Paul Anka *pukes again*- Paul Anka is in his own category when it comes to awfulness. They guy made something like thirty albums and they all suck.

Yep, pretty bad list of songs.

There's just sooooo much to list though - especially in the last 5 years.

One of the more annoying songs the last few years:

Who Let the Dogs Out? Just terrible.

Soon as I saw this thread title I said "if Ice Ice Baby isn't on this, the world is very wrong." But it is! Hurrah! Worst friggin' song of all time, the only thing good about it was stolen directly from Bowie and Queen anyway.

I would put "Fly" by Lenny Kravitz on there. It's 30 seconds of music looped to about 2:30, and it has one of the worst rhymes ever: "I wish that I could fly, like a dragonfly." It makes me want to slit my throat.

Pretty much everything by Lenny Kravitz brings the suck. I'm talking every album, every song. I too hate that song, but his rape of "American Woman" is truly unforgivable.

That one song by Ace of Base "All That She Wants Is Another Baby" is the worst song I've ever heard. Hand down.

I'm a very mild-mannered boy, but this song makes me want to reach out and strangle that goofball. God help us all that Linda Perry is flourishing today writing songs for others.

"We Built This City" was cringe-inducing the very first time I heard it on the radio. It's so bad it even detracts from hearing a great song like "Somebody to Love".

I can't complain about the #1 choice. I was about 12 when that came out and I hated it back then. I remember the video being pretty stupid too. It's even worse that it came from a once great band.

I wouldn't put Ice Ice Baby on there because it at least ripped off a good song.

I don't know what their problem is with Huey Lewis.

"We Built This City" does suck, but for some reason I feel compelled to listen to it whenever it's on the radio.

"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" was even worse...

Worst ever recorded? Come on...

10) Ebony and Ivory - Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder
Cheezy, but not the worst. I'm glad it exists just so I had the chance to see Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo's classic SNL spoof of it.

09) American Life - Madonna
I can't remember how this song goes, so no comment.

08) Party All the Time - Eddie Murphy
What? It's dumb but fun.

07) Dont Worry, Be Happy - Bobby Mc Farren
It was played out in it's time, but it's a harmless little ditty.

06) The Heart of Rock and Roll - Huey Lewis
Even if you hate Huey, this is one of his better songs. Now 'Hip To Be Square' I could understand...

05) Ice Ice Baby - Vanillla Ice
Again, if you think this is one of the worst songs ever recorded, then go listen to the rest of the 'To the Extreme' album. Or better yet, listen to the 'Cool As Ice' soundtrack, or Ice's gangsta rap attempt 'Mind Blowin'. Or hell, 'Ninja Rap' from TMNT2. All that crap will make 'Ice Ice Baby' sound like Mozart.

04) Rollin - Limp Bizkit
I'm not a Limp fan, but this was one of the more tolerable nu metal songs... personally the worst song in that genre is P.O.D.'s "Youth of the Nation". I want to shoot my radio when that song comes on.

03) Everybody Have Fun Tonight - Wang Chung
This one is easy to mock, and is a poster song for 80s cheese. But it's nowhere near the worst.

02) Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus
Not my thing, but hey.

01) We Built This City - Starship
Yeah, this one is pretty awful. But I could still name 10 worse songs.

Besides, at least 5 of the worst songs ever recorded come from this album:

-1 for wanting to put a PJ on the list (I actually like the song)

+1 for the cool sig.

I'm still undecided about you boobietheclown.

It's also hard to believe that "We Built This City" came from the same band who gave us "White Rabbit", or am I wrong on this fact? They changed their name so many times.

Hey now...I am about a die hard PJ fan as they come...but "Bugs"? C'mon thats horrible! That song was all about i'm Ed how weird can I be.

Lets face it there are a couple other PJ songs that deserve to be on that list too:

I'm Open
HeyFoxyMopHandleMamaThatsMe
ARC
Pry To
Aye Davanita
1/2 Full
Glorified G
The Color Red <------- the worst of all!

Fortunately, all of their other stuff redeems this crap.

"How did an ******* like Bob get such a great kitchen?" Dignan
