Immaculate Collection from madonna, how "altered" are the songs?

Sorry, for bumping a 2.5 year old thread, but its mine damnit 
Anyways, I just bought the Immaculate collectin, and on a first listen, the pitch sounds higher on the first few songs(holiday, borderline, like a virgin) Almost like Pal Speed up, but the songs aren't faster in any way, just the pitch sounds a tad higher then the versions on radio and whatnot. I found it at target for 10 bucks, so I'll just get used to it.
