? for Sonic Youth Fans
A while back, I heard the 2-Disc Deluxe Edition of Goo was set to be released this week, but I just looked online for info, and can't find any mention of it.
I already have the Deluxe Edition of Dirty, and have been really looking forward to Goo! I guess it got pushed back for some reason. Anyone heard info on this? Thanks! |
not sure but I'd just like to say Sister rocks.

I didn''t know there was a 2-disc Goo in the works. I hope that is true, ever since I picked up the Dirty 2-disc I have hoped it would get the same treatment.
Their earlier stuff should all get a two disc  I only really find myself listening to their work up to Goo anymore (and not even Goo as much). I thought picking up the Dirty 2-disc would make me like it more now that there is like a decade between its original release...but no, it still just doesn't do anything for me. |

sonicyouth.com says Goo Deluxe is being worked on, but no release date yet.

Attending a Q&A with SY in Los Angeles, Thurston said they're remastering their entire back catalogue.
I remember Universal saying they were going to do deluxe editions of Dirty, Goo, and Daydream Nation in reverse chronological order. I presume the rest of their albums will then be released in non-deluxe editions that may still sport a few bonus tracks. |
