Probably because the ever so talented artist known as Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes, died a day later. Popularity breeds publicity, talent does not.

This was truly sad. He was an amazing vocalist, and it's a shame he couldn't beat his disease.

It's even sadder that his addiction had him so alienated from his friends and family that it was days (or was it weeks?) before he was found.

To whoever said that noone will come in here and blast this guy because he is dead is right. It isn't a good idea to down someone.

However, I can say that I only know of 1 Alice in Chains song and I'm not a fan of theirs. So I'm not gonna come in here and say he sucks or whatever. I didn't even know he died. I just assumed the band broke up.
