New Local H album - 4/5

FYI, for anyone that remembers their hits "Fritz's Corner," "Bound for the Floor," or "All the Kids are Right," Local H's 5th album is out tomorrow (4/5/2004), and is entitled "Whatever Happened to P.J. Soles?"

Visit http://www.localh.com/ for more info, if you are interested.

I'm waiting for mine to come from DeepDiscountCD.com
The songs I've heard off of their website the last few weeks sound alright.

Is it still just a one-man operation? I've still to pick up the last release! :(

Nope, it is still a two-man operation. Scott Lucas and Brian St. Clair (who replaced drummer Joe Daniels about 5 years ago).

I picked up the album yesterday, and I was blown away. What a great rock album. Several songs had me thinking I was listening to a Soundgarden or Black Sabbath album. Awesome. Plus, it was only $10.25 at my local record store!

I will tell anyone who listens that "All The Kids are Right" is one of the greatest rock songs to be released in the '90s. Of course I can't think of another Local H song that I like (I couldn't stand "Bound for the Floor"). Any recommendations?

If you didn't care for "Bound for the Floor," but you liked "All the Kids are Right," I suggest you run out and buy their 3rd album, "Pack Up The Cats." That is the album with "All the Kids are Right" and a whole lot of other similar songs. The album tells a story of a budding rock star that starts out indie, hits it big, then sells out. "All the Kids are Right" is about when the band has finally sold out, and realizes that they are only in the biz for the money, and not the music. The album is a fantastic ride. I 100% recommend.
