NERD is no more

doesn't really surprise me, they should've known Virgin would be a bad choice since other bands have complained also...but liked NERD better than Pharrell's solo guest side stuff...from NME...

Production team THE NEPTUNES have called time on their band NERD.

According to Pharrell Williams a record company dispute had forced an end to the group.

"NERD is dead. I don't agree with the management at Virgin Records so we're done," he told Radio 1. "Me and Chad (Hugo) still do what we do in the studio, Shay is still our best friend, you know, perhaps we'll do some music for our fans and leak it to the internet or something, who knows?"

Virgin Records have yet to comment, though Williams added he is not looking to make recriminations.

"I've been very quiet about it for the last two years,” he explained. “I'm not here to slander or throw dirt, I'm just not happy so therefore NERD is expired."

Too bad they didn't keep NERD alive and stop producing.

Err...

Who...?

that sucks... NERD was pretty damn good, and I certainly liked their stuff better than the dime a dozen neptunes produced tracks that were filling radio in the last few years...

Damn Virgin. Pharrell wanted to move, but they were hogging him, they were guarding him.

I loved the first album but never really got into Fly or Die.

Still a shame though.

This sucks, Fly or Die is a good disc and I was looking forward to more.

While I love N*E*R*D, hopefully this gets Spymob out of Pharrell and Chad's grip and they're able to put out some more albums and go on a tour (which hopefully would hit Las Vegas).

Anyone listen to the new album: No One Ever Really Dies ?

Not as good as some of the older albums, but still some fun songs.

I thinks it’s by far their best since the first LP.
