When B-Sides are better than the single
Do any of you have a favorite B-Side, that out-shines the single ? For me it's " Halo " by The Cure. ( B-Side to Friday I'm In Love )
|
Yellow Ledbetter - Pearl Jam
There has been a thread before on this, just an FYI. |
"La, La, La, He, He, Hee" b-side to "Sign 'O the Times" by Prince.
|
Practically any b-side by the Wildhearts and the Hellacopters. I think it's a sign of a great band if they can write strong b-sides.

The Beatl

"Singular Girl" from the Old 97's was released on a bonus ep that came with initial pressings of Satellite Rides. It's one of my favorite songs they've ever done.

Garbage - Butterfly Collector (B-Side off of Queer)
Garbage - Deadwood (B-Side off of I Think I'm Paranoid) Beatles - Rain (B-Side off of Paperback Writer) |
Prince - Batdance

Originally posted by coladar Beatles - Rain (B-Side off of Paperback Writer) Also "Strawberry Fields Forever" is far more engaging and superior to "Penny Lane." Although that single was billed as a "double A-side," it was Paul's song that more or less considered the real "A" and received more airplay. |
(London) Suede - "Golden Gun" ('Attitude' single)
Dubstar - "I Lost A Friend" ('Friday Night' single) |
Gene - Dolce & Gabbana or Nowt
Mansun - Drastic Sturgeon Pulp - Tomorrow Never Lies The Verve - Never Wanna See You Cry |

17 DAYS was nearly as good as WHEN DOVES CRY, when it first released as a single.

Yellow Ledbetter gets my vote as well. It's in my top 3 for favorite Pearl Jam songs too.
