Your music universe (cool engine)

Cool engine...type in your band and find out who's close in style.

I don't know if it adds much for people who have a somewhat deep musical knowledge (i.e., I recognized almost all of the artists that popped up on my favorite artists' maps), but it's more useful if you're trying to figure out whether a more obscure band would match your tastes. (But their selection of more "obscure" bands is hit and miss.)

But with some more artists in their database, this could become very useful.

And in any case, it's awesome visually.

I think it's very nice. Lots of bands I wouldn't otherwise notice.

Glad I picked up Modest Mouse as a Columbia House enrollment now...

Cool Site

Awesome. I like it. Interesting Interface! The problem is that most of the bands it recommends I have already heard of since most of the bands I like are the same types of music. But its still cool!

Pretty neat, you can obviously tell the musical tastes of the person(s) who created it though. Pretty objective
