I just heard a Kick Ass song Metal Song..
Gettysburg 1863: The Devil To Pay by ICED EARTH.
Wow
I don't know if it's old or new but I think I'm going to look into Iced Earth some more. I mean I've heard the name many times but i've never heard anything by them.

It's great man. It's an long epic song that reminds one of something Maiden would do, but IMHO slightly better.

It's from their new album "The Glorious Burden", a 2 disc effort. I really like disc 2
disc one is kinda so so.
it's going to take me awhile to get used to the new singer.

I'm wondering how Tim Owens is going to sound live with them. He was so-so on the Priest albums, but amazing live. I expect similar things with IE. Hopefully they'll try and do Gettysburg.

I think Iced Earth is hit or miss with me. I guess it just depends on my mood. I really like the first half of Dark Saga (the spawn inspired album).
I might have to check this one out. Sounds pretty interesting.

I just got the new Iced Earth because Ripper Owens is now in the band (an incredible singer that no one gave a chance to when he was in Judas Priest) . Excellent album. The only other Iced Earth I own is Tribute to the Gods.

Oh ok. I'm usually pretty good about picking up the LE 2 disk versions. I guess I blew it this time.
