Help ID this song.
I have this song, it's one of my favorites, in my collection, but I would like to know who sings it.
Here are the lyrics, as best as I can understand them (some parts mumble). I've searched lyric archives, but no luck. mumbles = --- long breaks = ... unsure = italics ... Sign of the union, and your faith in trouble, always maintain an appeal to the crowd. The people couldn't see that the planes were crashing, and the cries of my brothers, who were forced underground, without sound, sound ... The leader yelled ---- , but the mob said ---- ----, (too high?) on behalf ---- ---- ---- ---- ----, but the leader said 'please for the sake of my home, and the ---- of ---- ----', he promised to try, and it was all in context, and a manner of speaking, the people wanted softness, not a figurehead preaching. What did I say? What did I do? What are you here for? You've got nothing to lose. ... And the ---- ---- ----, and the ---- ----, didn't have imagination and reasons why, spit me out on my ---- little ----, (little path or little a$$)) somehow, ---- ---- ----, I managed to survive, and it was all in context, and a manner of speaking, the people wanted softness, not a figurehead preaching. What did I say? What did I do? What are you here for? You've got nothing to lose. ..... and it was all in politics, and a manner of speaking, (context would make more sense) the people wanted softness, not a figurehead preaching. What did I say? What did I do? What are you here for? You've got nothing to lose. ... |
An almost useless from me!
Google groups gave me this: http://urlcut.com/radiohead
However, checking back with a lyric archive suggests that the song cited by you and the other guy does not match with RH's Union City Blue! [I'll get my coat!] |

Found this post on Google groups.
I heard this song, allegedly union city blue by radiohead, but not actually about three years ago and have always wondered what it is. Does anyone know? It was called "union" Its pretty guitarry and a bit rocking and is 4:27 long. The lyrics are something like: "the side of the union had a faith in children always maintained an appeal to the crowd the people didn't see that the planes were a crashing and the crys of my brothers were forced on the ground without sound..." sent to hide i can't make out most of the next bit??? at all "... hide ....(??? leader sent the police for the sake of my woman??) Chorus: "and it was all (unconcious/in context) in a manner of speaking, the people wanted softness not a figurehead preaching. What did i say, what did i do, what are you here for? you've got nothing..." Haven't got a clue what the song is but if anyone else does, please let me know in group. |
