Help with a project - Music Ideas

Hi,

I'm working on a movie as an assistant editor, and my friend and I have been asked to cut the gag reel. We'll be presenting it at the wrap party in (gasp) a week, but before we can start cutting in shots of our actors tripping and what-not, we need to find some good music. The film deals with two themes that would be especially great to work into the soundtrack: Incest (mother-son) and Mind Control (hypnosis, brainwashing, government conspiracy-type stuff). We have some obscure tunes that we found with basic searches on "Brainwash" and that kind of thing, but it would be the MOST crowd-pleasing to have like, 80's tunes or rap singles or even popular country songs that are easily recognizable. The more songs the better, because we'll probably try to fit in many catch-phrases in the course of the four-minute video.

Any suggestions would be so so great!
Thanks-

They Might Be Giants seem to have a mini-oeuvre of "songs about being possessed" -- try "The Statue Got Me High" or "The Bells Are Ringing". Also, Oingo Boingo's "Dead Man's Party," anything from Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd," Sinatra's "Witchcraft," and the Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer" have the proper vibe, if not quite the right subject, and might be appropriate for other reasons.

Welcome to the forum...
