Yeah I got this in my e-mail too.
I just hope it isn't a "Farewell Tour". You never know with RUSH. |
Well, I know I'll be seeing at least one concert this summer! Gonna spring the idiotic price for the gold circle seats too. |

From Billboard.com
Rush will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a 2004 tour of North America and Europe. The veteran Canadian rock trio -- bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart -- will hit amphitheaters beginning in June, for approximately 30 dates. In September, the group will visit Europe for the first time since 1992. |
I would rather have a new album THEN tour but what the hell!
|

Thank GOD!!!!! I missed them on their Vapor Trails tour for the first time since Power Windows....and was hoping they would come back. SWEET!!!! This will make it 8 times to see my favorite band in the world!:hump: |
I've read that there will be an intermission between a pair of two-hours sets!
|
I've seen Rush live about 5 times in the '80s and twice in the early '90s. I haven't seen 'em since - I may check out their 30th, though.
|
I've never seen Rush, but I've really been enjoying the Rush In Rio cd's and dvd. I definitely hope to see them on this tour.
|
recently discovered how great this band is, been listening to rush in rio a ton, perhaps i'll dig in and go see them live.
cool! |
Concert dates to be announced on Tuesday, stay tuned!
|
Too bad the email didn't mention what will happen if Alex's in the slammer.
|
I can see it now: FREE LERXST t-shirts on sale at headshops around the world.
But I have to wonder, will Alex still dance during "La Villa Strangiato"? (I'm really looking forward to seeing Rush again!) |
Doh! tour dates pushed back till Wednesday!
|
|
Tour dates are up on www.rush.com but I can't copy and paste them (some kind of flash graphic). The tour starts in late May on the east coast (Memorial Day, May 31 in Pittsburgh, 3rd show of the tour) and runs through the summer.
Nothing is up for sale or presale yet, and ticketmasher hasn't updated their site at all yet. |
