Songs that depict the way you feel.
Have you ever felt that a certain song, maybe just for a time, explained everything that you've been dealing with? Like in your personal life?
For instance, I'm going through a tough time right now letting go of my ex-girlfriend/best friend, and a song that really conveys how I feel inside is a song called F*** You Lucy, from Atmosphere. For those who don't know, Atmosphere is an excellent underground type hiphop "group."
Lyrics:
There have been a lot of songs and albums that have helped me deal with problems in my life (Lateralus, The Fragile) but nothing that really hit the nail on the head like this song. Almost word for word.
Has anyone else felt a connection to a certain song like this?

Back when I was younger, I used to really identify with Nine Inch Nails - Hurt. I think a lot of it had to do with the normal teen hormonal depression stuff.
Nowadays, I think one of the best songs that describes how I feel quite often is Paul Brandt's "I Meant to Do That"
There is also another song by a guy named Kevin Denney called "That's just Jessie". I felt it described how I felt quite a bit when it first came out.

I think it's impossible to pin down one song that describes how you feel at all times because we all go through different emotions and experiences all the time. One song that really helps me deal with all the bullshit of life whenever I feel down is "Parabola" by Tool. The lyrics in this song are very hopeful and they are about having the strength to overcome negativity. This song is very personal to me.

I agree with not being able to pinpoint just one track. That's why I said that a lot of times I can relate to a whole album, but this one track here pretty much sums up exactly how I have been feeling for the past couple months. It's nuts.
Also Capo, I listen to Parabola as well when I feel pretty down. It keeps me reminded that everything I go through is for a purpose, and to never let something shitty get in the way of experiencing my life the way it was meant to be. Excellent choice.
