I don't think the storyline came across in the viedo either. The song isn't very good, but I bet it will get tons of airtime.

i;ll agree that the song sucks. (I can't understand half of the lyrics) so how can i know "the plot" when the lyrics are so unintelliglble. also the video would have been better if the cutting was slower.

also the rumor on imdb why there was no s&m stuff because the outfit didn't fit madonna rotfl

As a fan of Britney's music, I personally consider her music like junk food, no nutritional value but fun, and good when you want something poppy to listen to.

However, I despise the new single. Horrible. I was actually thinking of doing a blind buy on her new album since I have the others, but this single stinks. There's music that is so bad it's good, this is just bad.

After 4 weeks on the Billboards Hot Singles chart, Britney's "Me Against the Machine" stalls at #38.

Not surprising. Worst performance for a lead single of a new Britney Spears album.

The other three lead singles (Baby One More Time, Oops I Did It Again, I'm a Slave For You) were all fun and catchy pop songs. This song doesn't have a strong hook and really doesn't capture my interest at all, and I loved the other 3 Britney cds as the popcorn, pop albums they were made as.

After browsing the new cd, most of the album is a complete waste, except the nice closing track, Everytime, a simple love ballad. She really should have brought Max Martin back for a fun song or two.

I agree totally. So, do you think it's even worth buying used? I watched part of her special on ABC and practically burst out laughing when the music for Toxic came on.

I think Toxic and perhaps Everytime are the only songs worth considering as singles. And they are weak compared to tracks from the other three albums.
