Pearl Jam News At 5:00
There is going to be an announcement from Pearl Jam at 5:00 PM pacific time on The End radio station in Seatlle. Anyone have a clue what it could be about? I'm guessing a summer tour next year or the official statement about the DVD and rarities album.

Hopefully they'll release the track list of the Rarities album.
I'd be surprised if they toured next summer. They usually only tour after a new album, and almost all the band members have side projects they work on in between albums.

They mentioned something about a small summer tour in 2004 at a few of the shows on their last tour. I think they mentioned it in Toronto and Boston at least. I'd love to see a track listing for the rarities though.
Oh, there are rumored to be some acoustic shows around Seatlle coming up too.

I would assume it is about a show or shows in that area. I don't think they would be making any announcements about the 2004 "mini-tour" until well...2004.

i'm a little confused by that ticket raffle... the news bit would seem to lead you that tickets aren't going to be available to the public... and if you were to win the drawing, there doesn't seem to be any advantage. you'd also have to wait about a week until after the tickets go on sale via ticketmaster, to pay for the same price and get tickets that may or may not be better? strange...

I was online the second the tickets went on sale. I requested two tickets and it came back that there were no tickets available. Has anyone else had this happen with Ticketmaster? The same thing happened when Dave Matthews did a similar accoustic show at Beneroya. The show is basicly sold out before the tickets even go on sale.

yeah, i had the same thing happen. i think ticketmaster may have had problems. there were/are numerous errors on the event page. suck as it listing a strict 10 ticket limit, yet you could only request 4 in the drop down box. and now the event page says tickets aren't even on sale.
this is totally frustrating. how is it possible to sell out before tickets even go on sale? pearl jam should have stuck to boycotting ticketmaster.

The event pages are always about 10-15 seconds late in switching over from pre-sale to on-sale. Considering Benaroya only holds 2,500 people and show sold out in seconds, it isn't surprising that few people got tickets online.
I was using three separate computers, all on T3 connections, and only one of them got tickets--a pair in the second tier balcony.
I was also there during the Dave Matthews solo fiasco that Misaalme mentioned. Luckily, I was able to get tickets through the fan club lotto and didn't have to deal with ticketmaster.
