</small>I am disappointed that you chose to become part of the problem especially as I was 2/3 through clearing things up.

My own and Geoff's email address is clearly visible and there is a "report this post to a moderator" button that you've been here long enough to know how to use.

Don't do this again.

To anyone who can't stop talking about how hot she is...

*points to your local mall where tons of girls as hot and hotter as Duff inhabit*

She's pretty, but jeez, nothing you won't see if you go out. Oh, and I'm not trying to start something, but I just saw this thread for the first time and had to throw down my two cents.

Anyone catch her New Years performances on MTV. They were bad... really bad. She was obviously lip synching. But she would really get into it as if she was actually singing the words. Jumping up and down, singing to the guitar players with so much energy as if she was really feeling the words that she wasn't singing. Maybe she really does have a good voice and just decided not to sing for that performance for whatever reason. Also I would say she is average at best in terms of looks.

You're right

She didn't sing on that one

But she did sing live on her 16th birthday special that aired on the WB

There were two segments

One mini concert, set on a beautiful mountain formation with a waterfall

And one set on the beach, with some rock band.

The one on the beach she lip synced little voice..

The one set on the waterfall was amazing

She had a violinist and a guitarist, and sang live acoustic versions of

Anywhere But Here
Come Clean
Where Did I Go Right

It was there I was convinced of her growing vocal talents...

A few vocals from the CD were missing [very high notes, speaking parts] but other wise, it was better than the CD..

The songs that are like "rock" really mess her up...So Yesterday, Why Not, Little Voice, etc....her real voice comes out on the songs with more of a dance influence..

ah crap, I just heard "come clean" on the radio, and really liked it. kind of found that wierd since it didn't sound like teenie bopper pop, there actually seemed to be some kind of rock in the song as well.

Told everyone so, "Come Clean' is a great song. It's a perfect mix of rock and dance pop.

Listen real closely on good headphones, there is a LOT of sining and talking behind all the music..and you can tell when it's her real voice and when it's filtered...she's not that bad

Anywhere But Here is the best track on the CD though, it's just as good as Come Clean

If all the songs on the CD would be like that, it would be great

Anyways, the bass on Come Clean is so nice..I played it once on my surround sound...it sounds very clear [or should I say clean] and storng..driving beat

from doing my little research (all music.com) I noticed "so yesterday" was released as a single, has "come Clean" been released as a cheap cd single. (and while I'm at it, should I try to create an excuse to the record store guy that this is not for me.

No, Come Clean is not a US single yet...only in Japan and Australia.

Funny thing is, I would never have even touched anything by Hilary Duff, if it had not been for an mp3 version of the full album I downloaed to laugh and critique....

I guess the RIAA should learn what MP3's can actually do.

Until she's 18?

She is from Houston, so I like that she is from my home.

Download "Anywhere But Here", it won't ever be a single, and it's the best on the CD.
