'Ol School Jewel Fans -- Help!!

I've just spent close to an hour trying to find a place to buy the third version of Jewel's song "You Were Meant For Me".

The first version is the "harder" version [for which Sean Penn directed the video.

The second is the "acoustic" album version.

And the third is the radio/video version. THIS is the one i'm looking for.

They did the same thing with "Foolish Games" [just TWO versions not three] -- the version on the "Batman & Robin" soundtrack is different from her album.

ANY help would be appreciated...hell, at this point i'd even take an mp3 to tide me over...but i'd rather not...I want to OWN it..

where are you from? If you know your local adult contemporary or top 40 station's phone number, they could prob. play it for ya.

sorry this is the only thing I could find

its a 39 song compulation of mtv songs of that era. since it has a shorter run time then other versions, I'd assume this is the version you want.

There's also a CD single of You Were Meant for Me out. That's what I bought.

Single does have both album version and the version heard on MTV/radio. I prefer radio version also. You can find used copies at Amazon, secondspin, or half.com

I think that has the album version, bigjim25, not the radio single. the radio version is slightly more up tempo and her voice sounds a bit better imo.

4:13 for the album version
3:48 for the single, so maybe it might be the radio version after all. Spend however much it is, burn it on to a cd, and sell it to a used cd place (or ebay)

Nope. My only experience with "Charm City" is from Homicide: Life On the Streets...

it seems like the radio version is more up beat and or was rerecorded. the album version is much more slower in tempo and even depressing at times. I wish they would release the radio version on cd (and lets pretend that the new album never happened.
