Jessica Simpson : "In This Skin"

WOW!

What an album. Got it two days ago at BestBuy for $7.99 and was really impressed. This is not your average teen pop at all! In fact, the best single on it is 'Forbidden Fruit' which was originally written for Madonna's album 'Music'.

GET IT!! This blows Radiohead's new LP out the water! Theres middle eastern influences on it, and almost every song has a catchy chorus. Definitely on my Top 10 list this year, and certainly the best album by a former teen pop artist in the last ten years. And yes, this is very different from the vile trash that Britney or Debbie Gibson put out.

Seriously, please do check it out. Has such repeat value.

oh, indeed, I sure will check it out...How's that meaningless corporate shill job working out for you posting at music forums?

Pics? I was going through the music channels the other day and saw her with her dumb, jock bimbo talentless husband/singer and she looked like she had the anoxeric bug. She looked a lot better a few years ago imho.

I just saw a show on MTV that follows her and her husband (don't know his name) and boy is she dumb and spoiled.

Everyone should check it out. It's unbelievable.

I like when they pay the woman to clean their house/do their laundry. Six hours for $120. The guy says "did we pay too much? that's $20 an hour".

What's he getting $1000 an hour? They are in a multi-million house w/several expensive cars and worry about giving a poor woman $120.

This couple shouldn't last long from the looks of it. Lots of little arguments. She's definitely not mature enough to be married.

Eh I think Debbie Gibson was way more talented than Jessica Simpson.

The album is average... I prefered Mandy Moore's last album over this one (not to mention I think all of Britney's albums are better)... but it is better than Jessica's last album at least. I really only 'really like' Sweetest Sin.

Why are they selling it at $7.99 anyway? Record company trying to push sales heh? "Sweetest Sin" is already starting to fall on radio... peaked around #45 or something.

Sounded like a shill to me... but I honestly don't think it is after doing a search. Questionable taste, but no shill

A shill is someone that joined just to post positive info about a certain person, movie, etc. Usually a PR person doing it for work.

I thought it was sarcasm. Not even a shill would expect people to believe that load of crap.

I thought maybe it was internet-speak, but it's a real word. From m-w.com:

Main Entry: shill
Pronunciation: "
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): -s
Etymology: probably short for shillaber
: one who acts as a decoy or steerer: as a : one who is employed by an amusement enterprise (as a circus or carnival) to get the sale of tickets started after the barker has finished his spiel b : one who is employed by a pitchman to pose as a member of the audience and make the first purchase c : one who is employed by a gambling house to pose as a customer and keep action going d : one who poses as an innocent bystander to help a confidence man win over a prospective victim

I was looking at this today when I went to Best Buy. Sheese, how many producers did she go through?

Every song has at least 1-3 different producers listed.

Honestly, why dont you guys check it out? I truly adore 'Forbidden Fruit' and I think any Madonna fan would love this CD (considering its made up of tracks Madonna rejected for both 'Music' and 'American Life'). And no, Im not a shill. Wish I was though - it would bring SOME meaning into my monotonous existence at this point!

You likely have a "montonous existence" because you listen to crap like this.

My loving heart decides that both Jessica Simpson and Radiohead are not any good. It prefers to listen to the love crazed stylings of TAM TAM GO's Nubes Y Claro or LaOrejaDeVanGogh's latest.

Not to piss anyone off, but Nick's debut solo album 'SoulO' is out soon and it promises to be as delectable and delicious as his wife's new CD. All the songs are about holding hands and making babies and how hard life is when you're a celebrity. Really important issues that make us realize how dull we are and how godly in stature they are. Preorder your copy at amazon NOW!
