Radiohead Pre-Sale?

Radiohead is showing in houston this fall, and I can't find ANY information about a pre-sale anywhere! Any of you dvdtalkers have any inside scoop?

I've so far managed to miss every single Radiohead show ever and I'll be damned if I miss this one. If there's no presale i'm going to camp out at ticketmasters at 5 AM in the morning

Camping out will not do you any good. An hour or so before the tix go on sale, they will give everyone wristbands and everyone will have an equal chance of being first or last in line. They always do lottery now specifically to keep people from lining up very early.

Keep an eye on WASTE ticketing.

They sold tickets EARLY to the LEG1 shows.
I was able to get "PIT" tickets for Philly and Boston this way.
They were "supposed" to go onsale at like 10am but actually went onsale at ~5am. I found it around 8am and was still intime.

Apparantly the WASTE tix for Leg 2 will not go onsale until the 21st, after they have already gone onsale to the general public. Kinda silly, I'm not sure why they aren't going on sale before.

what the heck thats retarded. Hey cdollaz, what is going to be your tactic for getting great seats? I'll hopefully see you there!

Anyone know where the San Diego tickets will be for sale on 7/19? If I can't get them there, I'll probably end up just getting them on eBay.

You might as well buy them on the net since camping out won't do you any good.

Even if the TM Vendor doesn't hold a lottery, you're still SOL cause most of the goods seats (usually the 1st 10 rows) will already be pre-sold through broker-contracts and the promoter's employees.

I had to learn this the hard way.

- I camped out for their last Houston show.
- I was first in line(there was no lottery).
- Best Available was a couple rows before lawn seating.

To avoid all the hassle.......save your money....and buy through a broker. It may be expensive, but how often does Radiohead come to Houston......

Best of Luck to you.

Buying tickets now a days is a joke really. back in the day you just had to worry about scalpers, now you have to much to worry about to even bother going early. Lottery's are a freak'n pain in the neck, chances are your seats even first in line will be crap. prices, etc. etc.

Last radiohead show I just got them through a worker friend of mine at the bowl. still cost me an arm and a leg, but the box seats were so damn close It was well worth it.

There's a presell for the L.A. shows (other thread) so hopefully this will help bypass the pain of ticket buying, though in the ticket master online section alone will drive you crazy as I recall buying tori tickets.

Basically just get lucky. I'll try online, but they randomly pull up tickets now so even if you pull some early, better may be had 15 minutes later.

^That's really smart to post the password before you get your own tickets.

Absolut10 07-17-03 11:41 AM

Getting tickets isn't a problem and I thought some people might appreciate the pre-sale password so I posted it. I'd hope other people around here would do the same.

evenflow 07-17-03 12:03 PM

Of course, they appreciate it. Heck, I'd appreciate it if I didn't have it. All I'm saying is that you should make sure you have your tickets first. I'm all for helping others but I have to make sure it doesn't hurt me getting my tickets above all. It would suck if you weren't not able to get the tickets you want.

Jackskeleton 07-17-03 04:11 PM

I agree. don't just give it out like that. You should post saying "If you want to know the info, IM me" or something.. you are giving it out to tooooo many folks by doing this. Chances of getting pre-sale tickets are going to go down. Please take it down for the sake of Evenflow and My chances of getting tickets.. or atleast offer to give it out to folks who ask you for it.

DodgingCars 07-17-03 04:29 PM

I dunno. It's easy enough to get the password. All someone has to do is sign up as a streetteam member -- which ... all that means is you get periodic emails about pre-sales, etc.

Not like someone couldn't figure it out if they were looking for it. In fact, that's why I became a member in the 1st place -- cause I was looking for the presale pw for a particular show.

Jackskeleton 07-17-03 06:57 PM

One thing is to become a member and ask for them. another is to freely give it out to the millions who lurk. My suggestion for Instant Messages allows those who did sign up for those street teams to have the insider info aswell as giving it to others and sharing the wealth, without having countless lurkers who might take advantage of this as a chance of buy the tickets and scalp them on ebay and the such. Someone posted a thread yesterday asking if anyone wants the password and info to contact them. I left a clue in the thread, but still, it is different then just openly giving out the info. either way, I'm sure the network will be flooded and this does indeed suck since I wont be able to purchase at the box office seeing that I'm in florida right now and my trip back to L.A. will be based around the concert. :p

Jackskeleton 07-18-03 12:13 PM

Password is Oxford guy..

seems like there has been nothing but crap seats since 10 offered. rows U, P, T and other high up ones I have been offered and dropped. this sucks.

evenflow 07-18-03 12:20 PM
