Worst teeth in music?
After seeing If I Should Fall from Grace... I'm going with Shane MacGowan:
http://www.bpfallon.com/photo_1/shane_mag.jpg http://www.countrybookshop.co.uk/ima...0711976538.jpg Those are OLD pictures. They are WORST now! I think that Tim Armstrong from Rancid might catch up with him in a few years. |
Jewel had some pretty gnarly teeth for a while. But I think they're all capped now.
|
Not as bad, but Leann Rimes has/had some ugly yellowish ones.
|
Let's see... The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Blur, Oasis, Radiohead...
|
As soon as I saw the thread topic, "Shane" popped right into my head. Gotta love the dental care (or lack thereof) in the UK.
How was the documentary? Worth a purchase? I quit Netflix and doubt anywhere around me will have it for rent. |
I'm with DJLinus. I saw the thread and immediately thought Shane McGowan.
Funny aside. Cassidy, the vampire in Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's epic comic books series Preacher was sort of based on Shane McGowan. The vampire had better teeth, though. |

Shane's drunken ramblings were a little tough to understand at times. They did have an option to watch some of the songs performed with subtitles though -- just wish the whole doc could use them. I would love to just have a Pogues DVD with just concert and video footage. Oh, but is it worth the purchase? I consider myself a pretty big Pogues fan, but couldn't see myself watching it over and over again. It was interesting and I certainly learned a lot -- but frankly its sad. Shane just seems like he's slowly killing himself and its pretty tough to watch. You could always buy it and sell it if you didn't think it had much re-watchability. |

Originally posted by DodgingCars Could you imagine trying to bite a neck with the mess Shane calls teeth? :) Just for reference, here's Cassidy: http://www.neonwheels.com/preacher/images/cbw1.jpg Am I completely misremembering, or did Shane get his teeth fixed (or dentures or something)? I seem to remember seeing a recent photo of him with reasonably normal looking teeth. |
They are definantly not fixed.

Joey Ramone (PBWH) had some fugly teeth. His bottom jaw looked like it had two rows of teeth.

Lemmy from Motorhead has some pretty bad teeth too.
|
I immediately thought of Shane.
|
Another vote for Shane. I saw him in Seattle a couple of years ago. I think he had 3 1/2 teeth left.

Martin Gore of Depeche Mode (the blond for those who don't know the members by name) had some REALLY gnarly teeth up until about two years ago. Don't know if he got braces or got them capped, but he doesn't look British anymore ;) |

I keep looking for flies buzzing round Shane's head in those pictures...how can his girlfriend even want to go near the guy? She looks relatively normal, from the pictures I've seen of her.
|
I think she met him when he still had some teeth
|
Shane's the first person I thought of when I saw this thread title.
When your career revolves around: "Can I get a Guiness, right?" "Did you say RIOT?!" "No! I said RI-GHT!" "OY! RIOT!" Then a barstool is bashed repeatedly into your mouth... Yeah, you end up with bad teeth. |
Shane brings new meaning to the term gum job. :yack:
