P.O.D.'s next album to feature song with Phil Keaggy

Just saw this on the ccmcom.com website and it was linked to this website on POD. Apparently the POD fan is related to Phil Keaggy.

Here's the basic info:

Phil and Jason spent several hours in the studio just playing
off each other and making it up as they went along. Sadly, the recording was all over by the time we arrived but that hardly tarnished the day.

Anyone who hasen't heard the music of Phil Keaggy should listen to a few of his albums. He is influenced by McCartney and his electric work reflects that, but he's one of the best acoustic guitar players (underrated, IMO) that is out there today.

I remember reading about how Jimi Hendrix supposedly said Keaggy was a better guitar player, but Snopes.com says "Nope."

Eric Clapton said it about some other Christian music guitarist I think.

Since I haven't heard every living guitarist I can't say he is the best, but I think he's one of the best living guitarists.

You do realize saying that is punishable by death?

If you ever want to check out some of his more rock oriented material, I recommend the Crimson and Blue / Blue releases. Blue was a re-release of Crimson and Blue by Epic, and features different mixes/takes of songs on Crimson and Blue.

He also had a band in the late 60's/early 70's called Glass Harp. They've reunited a few times, but a couple of discs are still around. (The three albums they released are long OOP).

I know, I know.

And every other remake I"ve heard pales in comparisson.

But their version of WCWIO is downright beautiful. Very true to the classic with a little more added.

It was on that horrible AMERICA SALUTES THE BEATLES cd...actually it should have been COUNTRY WESTERN SALUTES THE BEATLES.

or "Nashville Salutes The Beatles" since CCM music claims Nashville as their home.
