After waiting 15 years, I finally MET my fave band of all time

Ever since I was 14, Def Leppard has been my FAVORITE band -- and my great hope was that someday I'd get to meet one of them

1988:

2003: Tonight, following an AWESOME show, I met 4 out of 5. I'm so happy!

Joe Elliott, vocals

Rick Allen, drums

Phil Collen, guitars

Vivian Campbell, guitars

Congrats. That is awesome. No love for Rick though? You put your arm around everyone else.

When I put my arm around him, my hand ended up square on his arm stump. I felt awkward and pulled it away.

For being such a big fan, you think you'd know that it's "THE Def Leppard," not "Def Leppard."

Cool man. That's awesome that you got to meet your favorite band. Is this a major tour or is it a club tour?

They're doing 10,000-seat arenas and filling them up about 80%. I've seen the current tour in 2 cities so far

Damn it's redeye satan. I knew that music would do that to you.

Actually, good for you, that must have been a blast. Mine was when I met and talked with Steven Tyler at a hotel that I was at.

What show was this at?

Their Chicago stop on this tour was at the UIC Pavillion back in March. Yes, I was there too.

PS: my company's graphic designer is gonna fix these up by clearing the red eye, erasing the spots in the Joe pic, etc.

Is Moon Dog Mane still on tour with them? I love their album. Wish they would record another.

The opener is Ricky Warwick of The Almighty. He performs stuff from his new solo album, which was produced by Def Leppard's Joe Elliott

You put your hand on Rick's stump?

I saw Def Leppard back in '87 or so, the Hysteria tour. Nice concert.

Pyromania was by far their best work.

Yep the eyes say it all. Devil music.

When my hometown opened a Civic Center the first concert booked was Def Leppard. The gig sold less than 100 tickets so the show was cancelled. A week later "High and Dry" came out and they were a hit but it was too late. We got the band "Head East" instead.

I'm jealous. I am going to see them Saturday night, but have no hope of meeting them.

Just stand by their buses. After an hour or so, they'll all come out one at a time, signing autographs and taking pics.

It is worth a shot, although I don't know how likely they are going to be to want to hang out in Greeley. I will have to see if the person I am going with wants to wait.
