Pete Yorn is one of the few acts in the lineup that actually have talent, too.

I went, it was a great show! Pete Yorn put on a great set. Interpol was awesome. I was really looking forward to seeing Blur but they were a little dissapointing. The Transplants only played a couple songs and then had the rest of Rancid come out and play the rest of the set. Foo Fighters played a set of greatest hits and were amazing as usual and as they've been doing on their tour had Lyam Lynch come out and Dave Grohl played drums for him. White Stripes were pretty good too. The highlight of the night had to be when the special guest came out. Every year they have a special guest and this year I think they topped themselves with Janes Addiction. It was great to see them and the energy they got from the crowd was great. All in all this was the best Weenie Roast I've ever been to.

I don't care too much for Thrice so I only saw the last couple songs from their set. The crowd seemed into them and they seemed to play pretty good but again I'm not much of a fan so I probably wouldn't be the best person to give a review.

Agreed with darqleo's quote as well...especially living in SoCal my whole life.
Absolut- sorry you're not a fan, but Thrice is getting huge, especially in SoCal. Most of my friends are obsessed with them and they are definitely a band on the rise. I enjoy them as well.

I actually like the line up, though I'm not a fan of Interpol, Yorn, GC, Chevelled, Staind, Deftones, or Foo Fighters...
As for KROQ being a corporate machine. Possibly.. but they have also been responsible for the success of MANY bands. They introduced Sublime to the mainstream. They are the first (and possibly still only) station playing Thrice, who are awesome.
I would have liked to go, but not for the price. I bought tickets and sold them (for a small profit).

Interpol, Deftones and Foo Fighters are the ones that are good.
IMO.

The mikes on the side stages were fine but for the first few acts on the main stage they were having a few problems. They got it fixed pretty quickly though. It was better than last year when in the middle of Bad Religion's set all of the sound equipement went out for a couple minutes.

I have nothing against the 3 bands you listed. I'm pretty neutral. I wouldn't buy their albums, but I don't have any strong negative feelings about them.
