Ok, Its from the 70's or early 80's...Maybe ELO, Gerry Rafferty, Im not sure...Definetly easy rock of some sort....and goes a little something like this:

This is a long shot but try Woman by FREE (Paul Rodgers & Kossoff) from their album Free released in the late 60s. Not the exact lyrics you have posted above but similar.
