Creedence Clearwater Revival - Which are the best quality CD's?

Chronicle has the best collection of CCR's songs, but it is so old that the quality is pretty bad.

If I were to re-buy, what would be my best bet? Have they even done anything about remastering their albums?

I have not bought any new CDs in about five years. The 3 Creedence albums I own are not remastered and have only so-so sound. If you want higher audio quality definitely look for remasters, if they exist. John Fogerty and Saul Zaentz, the head of Fantasy Records, have a terrible relationship because of a legal case. This may effect whether remasters are available.

All 7 of their studio albums, 2 live albums, & rarities CD.
Can be had from Columbia House CD club for under $50.

According to allmusic.com, the entire catalog was remastered (20-bit) in 2000. The box set shown above is supposed to be the remastered editions.

Or you can buy each album individually. If you want to see the remastered cover art, check out their distributor's site: http://www.fantasyjazz.com/catalog/ccr_cat2.html

that box set is worth every penny if you're interested in getting all the CCR material at once without shelling out the cash for individual albums. the sound is immaculate, as well.

They did just release a couple of the albums on hybrid SACD, but they are not in any stores I have looked in and retail for a ridiculous $24.95.
